Nidhogg is immune to damage until Freya places a sigil over her vortex stomach attack. The final Phase Four begins with Nidhogg at 10% health, again with the R3 prompt. That's when God of War: Ragnarok's Heavy Runic Attacks come out, and the player should rush to get her health down. Occasionally use Sigils on the pillar to let the player knock Nidhogg down or stun her during the tail explosion. This one is difficult, and the player should try to strafe to the side or get up close so that Nidhogg overshoots. A vortex stomach that sucks up a whole load of rocks and then blasts them at Kratos all at once.Three tail stabs using World Tears that the player has to dodge.An unblockable sweeping laser followed by an overhead laser that can be blocked or parried.She'll climb up one of the three pillars around the battlefield, move between them, and use several different ranged attacks. Once Nidhogg is at 60% health, pressing the R3 prompt on her stunned head will transition to Phase Three, where Freya will join in. So long as the player remembers to dodge attacks, block and parry they can't, and interrupt the tail explosions, this fight is manageable, even if every landed attack will hit Kratos hard. ![]() Like the parrying and shield skills in God of War, shields plays a vital role, as double tapping L1 in the gap between the tail slam and its explosion will stop the explosion and stun Nidhogg for a few moments. On top of her old attacks, she has three new attacks, ranged fire blasts, and a tail slam that explodes after a few moments. Phase two starts with Kratos dragging Nidhogg out of the World Tear and into the open.
